Environment and Net Zero
BlackPoint Ltd is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, in line with the UK Government’s legally binding target.
As a desk-based consultancy, our direct footprint is small: work is delivered digitally from a UK office, we operate no company vehicles or premises, and we keep business travel to what client work requires. We will publish a Carbon Reduction Plan, prepared in line with Procurement Policy Note 06/21, following the end of our first full financial year, and update it annually.
Data protection
We are committed to handling all client and third-party data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. All work is delivered from the United Kingdom and all client data is held in the UK. Details of our data handling arrangements are available on request, and we are happy to work to a client's own information security requirements.
BlackPoint Ltd is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office as a data controller, registration number ZC218685, and pays the annual data protection fee.
BlackPoint Ltd holds Cyber Essentials certification, renewed annually.
Quality assurance
Analytical work is quality assured in line with the principles of the Aqua Book, HM Treasury's guidance on producing quality analysis for government: documented assumptions and data sources, version-controlled models, sensitivity testing of key results, and structured review before publication. Where a client requires independent analytical review, we arrange it through an established peer network.
Conflicts of interest
We carry out conflict of interest checks before accepting any engagement, and declare any actual or potential conflict promptly and in writing.
Continuity
Work is backed up daily to storage, with client deliverables and working files recoverable independently of any single device. Where a commission requires cover arrangements, we agree them with the client at the outset and can draw on established partner firms.
