BlackPoint Ltd ('BlackPoint Economics', 'we', 'us', 'our') is committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to our website at www.blkpoint.co.uk and of the clients and contacts we work with. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We are registered in England & Wales, company number 16981186, with a registered office at 13 Beechhill Road, London SE9 1HJ, and we act as the data controller for the purposes of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. What data we collect
Website visitors. Our website is hosted on the Wix platform, which records technical data necessary to operate the site, including IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and time of visit. Where you consent, we use Google Analytics and Google Search Console to understand how the site is used.
Enquiries. When you use our contact form, email us or call us, we collect your name, email address, organisation and the content of your message.
Subscribers. If you subscribe to our research, we collect your name, email address and organisation.
Clients. We hold contact details, correspondence, contractual documents and billing information.
Payments. Where you purchase a subscription, payment is processed by our payment provider. We do not receive or store your full card details.
We do not collect any special category personal data, and we ask that you do not send it to us.
2. How we use your data
We use the information you provide to respond to your enquiry, to deliver the services you have requested, to maintain a record of correspondence, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations. We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we share it with third parties only as set out at section 7 or where required by law.

We process personal data on the following bases. Responding to enquiries: legitimate interests, in replying to a request you have made. Delivering services and managing contracts: performance of a contract. Sending research to subscribers: consent, or legitimate interests where you are an existing client. Business development correspondence with organisations: legitimate interests, in promoting our services to relevant professionals. Invoicing, accounting and tax records: legal obligation. Website analytics: consent.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have considered whether those interests are outweighed by your rights and concluded that they are not. You may object to this processing at any time, and you may withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it.

We do not send marketing emails to individuals without consent. Where we correspond with professional contacts at organisations about our services, you can ask us to stop at any time, by using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us directly.
6. How long we keep your data
We retain contact enquiry data for no longer than two years from the date of receipt, unless an ongoing contractual relationship requires us to retain it for longer. Client records, contracts and correspondence are kept for six years after the end of the relationship. Financial records are kept for six years, in line with HMRC requirements. Subscriber details are kept until you unsubscribe. Data is then securely deleted.
7. Third-party services
We share personal data only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract and on our instructions. These include our website host (Wix), our analytics providers (Google), our email provider, our payment provider and our accountant. Some of our service providers process data outside the UK. All work is delivered from the United Kingdom and client data is held in the UK. We work under non-disclosure agreements and to client security requirements where required. Our website is hosted via Wix and subject to their security standards.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to be informed about how your data is used; to access the personal data we hold about you; to request correction or deletion of that data; to restrict or object to processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it.
